There are several ways to reduce wrinkles on your face, hands, neck and decolletage areas. Anti-wrinkle injections are a highly popular cosmetic treatment that help reduce wrinkles and fine lines, rejuvenating looks naturally.
How do muscle relaxing injections work?
Wrinkle reduction injections work by relaxing the muscles in the face, usually around the eyes and forehead. This is achieved by injecting a few drops of Botulinum toxin via a tiny needle into the muscle creating the wrinkle. This blocks the muscle becoming stimulated, so the muscle relaxes. The skin overlying the muscle relaxes and softens.
The effects of the anti-wrinkle injections are visible between 1 and 2 weeks after treatment and usually lasts about 4 months, giving the face a more rested appearance.
What do dermal fillers do?
Dermal fillers are typically used to add volume to lines and wrinkles around the mouth, cheeks, and chin areas of the face. The injections fill out and smoothen away facial lines and folds in the skin. At our clinic sites we use a range of Juvéderm products. Like many other dermal fillers, Juvéderm’s active ingredient is Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally found material in the human body that helps keep skin looking hydrated and plump.
