How does private healthcare work?

The consultant or specialist at Parkside Health will want to discuss more about the problems you have. If you have a letter from your GP then this will help the consultant or specialist.

At your appointment you will be asked questions about your condition to help with the diagnosis. Furthter tests or scans may be needed like MRI scans, X-rays or blood tests.

Our step by step process

1: Contact Parkside Health by phone or email.

2: We will recommend the right consultant or specialist for you.  Or your GP might have recommend a specialist.

3. Payment – If you have private health insurance, you need to check your referral is covered and get an authorisation code.  If you are paying for yourself, you can self-refer to make an appointment.

4. After your appointment our consultant or specialist will write to your GP with details of the consultation or tests

5. We will details of the treatment, aspects of our care and costs involved.

6. We will arrange a convenient date for your treatment.
